Healthy Heroes, LLC began in 2004, as a grassroots effort to empower young kids to step away from negative influences, stay in school, and embrace the power of kids’ strength. Knowing we had to compete with many mediums that vie for kids’ attention, Healthy Heroes, along with a team of industry-recognized story line writers and illustrators, created Shakti Warriors, a new line of super urban, superheroes who are 100% committed to the well-being of children.
Shakti Warriors are here to empower today’s children to look inside and to develop the super hero that lies within. Together, they run the SHAKTI ACADEMY – an online academy and school program where kids, ages 7-11, train to develop a Hero’s Body, Hero’s Mind, Hero’s Heart and a Hero’s Community.
In development for over 5+ years our program is designed to promote powerful messages so badly needed in today’s world - with an emphasis in social and emotional learning (SEL) skills. Our Warriors are the fun, hip spokes-people for industry experts in the fields of emotional development, non-violence, cyber safety, health and fitness, and strongly emphasize the importance of family and community.
Healthy Heroes is the first program to develop a line of superheroes to encourage kids to exercise their bodies, challenge their minds, and to assume positive roles within their communities. It is designed primarily for children ages 8 to 12 - but kids of all ages are encouraged to play.
Healthy Heroes contends that children have a better chance of achieving both educational and social success if they develop a strong body, self-awareness, and social skills to cope with the challenges of growing up in today’s complex world.

Has over 18+ years in the IT Industry with a strong emphasis in operations. She is passionate about children and their ability to impact the world. She has launched several entrepreneurial initiatives and has a knack for attracting the right people to her projects. She has assembled a strong executive management team to assist her in executing the vision.
Janice Burney, VP of Interactive Media
Has extensive experience in finance, technology innovation and operational efficiency with a solid track record building new ventures and building brand awareness. Her passion is building early stage companies and wearing many hats while executing successful marketing innovations that deliver unparalleled success. Not to mention Janice is a "big kid at heart" and a "gamer" to the core.
Jennifer Moore, VP of Marketing
Has over 14+ years solid experience working as a sports and events marketing specialist. She brings a wealth of knowledge and connections to major power houses in the sports and entertainment industry.
Ted Wallhaus, Director of Business Development
An accomplished strategic sales and business development veteran with a 20 year track record of producing results. His experience includes development of strategic business units, national dealer networks and alliance partnership programs. He has helped to launch three successful start-up initiatives. His most telling trait is his passion for making a difference in the world and the customers he serves.

Our creative team is comprised of proven talent and all have contributed to the commercialization of well-known branded entertainment properties. In particular, Len Wein is an icon in the comic book industry and is the lead writer developing our compelling Shakti Warrior story lines. Florin Voicu is our concept artist and lead animator/illustrator who has been lead concept artist for Castle Films and large development houses developing state-of-the-art online gaming.
In order to have maximum impact in the lives of today’s youth, Healthy Heroes has aligned with subject matter experts (PhD’s and accredited organizations) in the fields of health, fitness and social and emotional learning. With a focus on children, the experts have extensive experience working with children and understand the challenges they face.
Lead by founder Lane JaBaay, these experts provide content that brings years of research and proven success to the Shakti Warrior online and classroom program. Each organization adds unique vision and depth to make the program a well-rounded educational experience.
